The noise barrier tarpaulin acts as a real noise reduction system, allowing a noise reduction of 17 db.
Designed with the best sound insulation materials, it limits noise pollution from construction sites but also from terraces, bars, and all places where noise is present. “Sound insulation, noise attenuation, noise reduction” are recurring subjects, in a context where noise standards are increasingly restrictive. THE FIREPROOF ACOUSTIC TARP AS AN EFFECTIVE AND LONG-LASTING ANTI-NOISE SYSTEM
The 1,20x2 m black acoustic tarpaulin is a “mattress” made from three layers of materials. It consists of an external face in 680g/m² PVC tarpaulin, an interior lining in fiberglass fabric, and an internal face in 500g/m² PVC grid. The total mass of this 610AC1 acoustic tarpaulin is 1.6 kg/m². A peripheral hem and eyelets every 500mm complete this tarpaulin to allow optimal fixation. All dimensions offered are optimal for use on HERAS construction site barriers. The lifespan of this real noise-reduction system is more than 10 years thanks to the use of noble, high-end materials. This insulating tarpaulin is M1 fireproof (M1 fire classification). For example, you can use it inside a building open to the public.
WHY CHOOSE A FIREPROOF TARP?
The tarpaulin has undergone a series of tests in order to be approved “M1” by the National Test Laboratory.
- Some large construction sites, particularly in places open to the public, require the use of fireproof equipment.
- The anti-fire treatment limits the greenhouse effect under the tarpaulin, created by the sun's rays and offers real thermal comfort. The feeling of heat is reduced by dropping a few degrees.
- As an individual, you may be required by your insurance to choose a fireproof tarpaulin.
- Under certain conditions, many standards are required and in the event of a claim, your insurer could require that the tarpaulin used complies with fire-resistant standards.
In France there is a classification (Standard NF P. 92. 507), composed of 5 categories, which defines the reaction to fire of materials: it goes from M0 (non-flammable) to M4 (easily flammable). This classification is established by laboratories approved by the Ministry of the Interior, including the Center Scientifique et Technique du Bâtiment. DID YOU KNOW ?
This acoustic tarpaulin has been tested and certified at a level of Rw 17 DB. However, giving a fixed value is always difficult since it depends on the conditions of use and the type of sound source. This is why for certain sound sources the noise attenuation can go up to 25 db.
