Roof tarping involves covering part or all of the roof with a waterproof tarpaulin. This operation requires a minimum of precautions:


Prepare the surface

Before laying the tarpaulin, make sure the roof is stable. In the event of damage, clear away debris and secure the lintels firmly. To ensure effective and safe installation, we recommend working in dry weather, without rain or wind. 


Position the tarpaulin

The roof tarpaulin must cover the entire area to be protected, with an overlap of at least 50 cm on the sides. Use lintels or ropes to stretch it tight. Models with eyelets make it easier to secure the tarpaulin using tensioners or hooks. Tarpaulins without eyelets are ideal for a custom fit or for covering with lintels. Check for leaks 

Make sure that no pockets of water form. Good tension prevents the tarpaulin from lifting in the wind. For durable covering, choose a thick roof tarpaulin (≥ 250 g/m²) with UV protection.
